Volleyball Recap: Manitowoc Lincoln Takes a Loss

Manitowoc Lincoln was the 2-0 winner over Catholic Memorial when they last played one another back in September of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Ships fell 2-0 to the Crusaders on Saturday.

Abby Weidmayer paced Manitowoc Lincoln's offense, picking up six kills. Weidmayer were helped by Emma Popp and Cora Foster, who contributed seven assists each.

Catholic Memorial was led to victory by Ellen Mowbray and Anna Duelge. Mowbray had 14 assists, while Duelge had seven digs. Mowbray is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

Manitowoc Lincoln now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Catholic Memorial, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season.

Manitowoc Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against West De Pere on the 30th. As for Catholic Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Mukwonago on the 30th.
