Hamilton proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 11) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Fairfield Indians 4-3. The Big Blue haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Hamilton's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Fairfield, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-14.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hamilton will square off against rival Mason at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Big Blue 3.7, the Comets 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Fairfield is set to challenge their familiar foe Lakota West at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
