Basketball Preview: Mt. Olive Wildcats vs. Lebanon Greyhounds
The Mt. Olive Wildcats will head out to square off against the Lebanon Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 70-34, which was the final score in Mt. Olive's tilt against Bunker Hill on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Minutemen recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Lebanon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 72-40 defeat at the hands of Father McGivney Catholic. The Greyhounds were down 57-35 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Lebanon's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Mt. Olive, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
Mt. Olive didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Lebanon in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 42-36 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mt. Olive since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
