Kickapoo has gone 9-1 against North Crawford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Panthers will square off against the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Kickapoo couldn't beat Wonewoc-Center on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Panthers lost 15-7 to the Wolves.

Abi Wirtz was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexey Andrews, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, North Crawford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against River Ridge, falling 23-2.

Anna Logue made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Dakota Heister was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

North Crawford's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Kickapoo, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-2.

Kickapoo got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against North Crawford by a conclusive 20-2 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
