Volleyball Recap: Bloomfield Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Bloomfield unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the Lordstown Red Devils on Thursday. Cardinals fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Red Devils since Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 10-25, 25-14, 25-15.

Despite the defeat, Bloomfield saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Peyton Koon had 14 digs, seven kills, five aces, and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniyla Doll, who had five aces and three digs.

The win was the third in a row for Lordstown, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Bloomfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Chalker on the 26th. As for Lordstown, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Valley Christian on the 25th.
