Volleyball Recap: Madison-Ridgeland Academy's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

If Madison-Ridgeland Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of West Memphis Christian last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots fell just short of the Ocean Springs Greyhounds by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The contest marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Selah Sandridge paced Madison-Ridgeland Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Sandridge got some help from Keira Hariel and her 15 assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Madison-Ridgeland Academy fell to 4-1. As for Ocean Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Madison-Ridgeland Academy will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Regents at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ocean Springs, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Presbyterian Christian on the 5th.
