McCallie picks up seventh straight win at home

Recap: McCallie Blue Tornado vs. Montgomery Bell Academy Big Red

The McCallie Blue Tornado had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They managed a 50-44 win over Montgomery Bell Academy. The score was all tied up 28-28 at the break, but McCallie was the better team in the second half.

McCallie got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kenneth Chime out in front who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and three steals. Chime hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Gallman, who scored 14 points.

McCallie pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points per game. As for Montgomery Bell Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

McCallie will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Signal Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on December 28th. Montgomery Bell Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cullman at 4:15 p.m. on December 28th.
