Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Paul/Palmer). Everything went their way against the Aurora Huskies on Thursday as they made off with a 13-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Braxton Heater was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Layne Baker, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

St. Paul/Palmer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

St. Paul/Palmer is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Aurora, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
