Basketball Recap: Viewmont Vikings vs. Bountiful RedHawks
After a string of five wins, the Viewmont Vikings's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 91-72 bruising from Bountiful. Viewmont has struggled against the RedHawks recently, as their match on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Viewmont's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Drez Jensen, who scored 18 points along with two steals. Jensen has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Max Draper was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Viewmont's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Bountiful, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Viewmont will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
