Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Manogue Miners vs. Galena Grizzlies

Bishop Manogue is on a three-game streak of home losses, Galena a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Bishop Manogue Miners will welcome the Galena Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Bishop Manogue is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Reed, who was ranked sixth at the time (Bishop Manogue was ranked 25th). Bishop Manogue took a 32-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Reed.

Meanwhile, Galena played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 58-36 to Reno.

Bishop Manogue's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Galena, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Bishop Manogue beat Galena 30-22 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Will Bishop Manogue repeat their success, or does Galena have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
