Volleyball Game Preview: Mankato West Scarlets vs. Northfield Raiders

Mankato West hasn't had much luck against Northfield recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Scarlets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Raiders at 7:15 p.m.

Mankato West had taken Owatonna down for five straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Scarlets took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies.

While Mankato West had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20, 14-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Northfield entered their tilt with Albert Lea on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17, 25-14.

Mankato West's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Northfield, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.
