Softball Recap: Northview Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

Northview extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Holmes County. They won by a run and slipped past the Blue Devils 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Chiefs have posted since April 4th.

Not much got past Mikayla McAnally, who gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks to keep Holmes County off the board. With that strong performance, McAnally is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game.

Northview is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Holmes County, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-9.

Looking ahead, Northview will take on Jay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Chiefs 2.8, the Royals 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Holmes County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
