Volleyball Game Preview: Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles vs. Lutheran Knights

The Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles will take on the Lutheran Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Maranatha Christian Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Lutheran will be coming in after a defeat.

Lutheran will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Maranatha Christian Academy extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. Everything went the Eagles' way against Heritage Christian Academy as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Maranatha Christian Academy got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 33-31, 25-16, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Lutheran suffered their biggest loss since September 25th on Tuesday. They came up short against Bishop Seabury Academy, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-8, 25-13.

Lutheran dropped their record down to 4-12-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 27-4.

Maranatha Christian Academy beat Lutheran 3-1 in their previous matchup on Thursday. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
