Basketball Game Preview: Arcadia Titans vs. Marcos de Niza Padres

The Arcadia Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Marcos de Niza Padres at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Arcadia's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

Last Thursday, Arcadia didn't have too much trouble with Mesquite as they won 72-55.

Meanwhile, Marcos de Niza was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Saguaro, falling 84-61. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (55), the Padres still had to take the loss.

Arcadia will have to contain James Steward as he made an impact in Marcos de Niza's last game. He dropped a double-double on 32 points and 17 rebounds. The contest was Steward's tenth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Mcgee, who posted nine points.

Even though they lost, Marcos de Niza smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

The win got Arcadia back to even at 12-12. As for Marcos de Niza, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.

Arcadia came up short against Marcos de Niza when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 80-73. Can Arcadia avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
