The Benjamin Davis Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the MacArthur Generals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Benjamin Davis took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Westfield, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Mustangs on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since February 28th.

John Ureste and Jeovanni Isidoro did most of the damage at the plate: Ureste went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Isidoro went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Isidoro a new career-high. Jesus Sanchez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Benjamin Davis lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, while MacArthur put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Dekaney. The Generals blew past the Wildcats 9-0. The Generals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.
Jai Cantu was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Jorge Moreno was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kameron Mott, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
MacArthur has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Benjamin Davis, their record now sits at 8-17.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Benjamin Davis has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like MacArthur struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
