Soccer Recap: Ceres Takes a Loss

Ceres was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Central Valley Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 665th, while the Hawks are ranked 123rd).

Ceres' defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Central Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Ceres does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central Valley, they will challenge River City at 6:00 p.m. on February 19th.
