Centerburg came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Mt. Gilead Indians with points to spare, taking the game 42-27. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Indians are ranked 483rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Centerburg's win bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Mt. Gilead, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.

Looking ahead, Centerburg will face off against East Knox at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Centerburg's defense has only allowed 28.3 points per game this season, so East Knox's offense will have their work cut out for them. Mt. Gilead does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
