Soccer Recap: Byron Takes a Loss

Byron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the Genesee Christian Soldiers. While losing is never fun, Byron can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 421st, while Genesee Christian are ranked 175th).

Byron's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13-1. As for Genesee Christian, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Byron will square off against Birch Run at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Genesee Christian, they will face off against Nouvel Catholic Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
