The Nueva School has gone a perfect 10-0 against Pacific Bay Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Mavericks will look to defend their home court against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. The timing is sure in The Nueva School's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Pacific Bay Christian has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
The Nueva School won the last time they faced Design Tech and Julia Cai did her part to make sure it happened again. The Mavericks put the hurt on the Dragons with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday for which the team can thank Cai, who had seven aces, five kills, and three digs. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last four games she's played.
The Nueva School's got stronger as the match went on, holding Design Tech to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 25-17.

The Nueva School relied on the efforts of Zoe Chien, who had six aces, and Elie Woodstone, who had 14 assists and three aces. Those three aces gave Woodstone a new career-high. Vivian Ma was another key player, getting six assists and three aces.
They weren't the only good servers: The Nueva School was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in eight consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Pacific Bay Christian lost 3-0 to Summit Shasta on Thursday.
Pacific Bay Christian took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-9, 25-16.
The Nueva School now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Pacific Bay Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.
Everything went The Nueva School's way against Pacific Bay Christian in their previous matchup last Tuesday, as The Nueva School made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Mavericks repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
