Basketball Recap: Stafford Takes a Loss

Stafford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 54-45 to the Battlefield Bobcats.

When it comes to explaining why Stafford lost, don't look at Jackson Wallace. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 12 on his way to 20 points. The contest was Wallace's third in a row with at least ten points. Mason Bracey was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

Stafford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Battlefield, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Stafford will face off against Mountain View at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Stafford is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53 points per game this season. As for Battlefield, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Battlefield Bobcats duke it out with the Gainesville Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
