Appleton East had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Pulaski Red Raiders. While the Patriots didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Appleton East pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Pulaski, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-4.

Coming up, Appleton East will venture away from home to face off against Fond du Lac at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pulaski, they will host Bay Port at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
