Citrus Hill takes Heritage's spot, while regional bowl games will give teams another shot to move around.

Looks like we had it right all along. Centennial was No. 1 throughout the season and the Huskies were far and above St. John Bosco in the Pac-5 Division title game at Angel Stadium.

They will stay at No. 1 regardless of what happens against De La Salle in the Open Division state title game. But there are many other teams lower in the rankings that can make moves based on results of this week's regional bowl games.

Classification: Southern Section, Big VIII League, Pac-5 Division
Rankings: 1 state, 1 national, 1 Xcellent 25

The Huskies won 62-52 over St. John Bosco to take the Pac-5 title, and they earned a date with De La Salle in the Open Division state championship bowl game next week. They were up 55-31 at the half, displaying outright dominance in the opening two quarters. J.j. Taylor ran 41 times for 261 yards and five touchdowns.

2. (2) St. John Bosco (Bellflower), 13-1 *Season over
Classification: Southern Section, Trinity League, Pac-5 Division
Rankings: 2 state, 2 national, 5 Xcellent 25

The Braves turned the ball over three times in their 62-52 loss to Centennial and their season is over now. Sophomore ReAl Mitchell came in due to injury and threw for 185 yards while running 11 times for 128 yards and a score.

3. (3) Mission Viejo, 14-0
Classification: Southern Section, South Coast League, West Valley Division
Rankings: 5 state, 18 national

The Diablos won the West Valley Division title with a 21-14 victory over Vista Murrieta and earned a Friday date with Helix on Friday in the I-AA championship bowl. They broke tie game with a Colin Schooler score early in the fourth quarter.



4. (4) Mater Dei (Santa Ana), 10-3 *Season over
Classification: Southern Section, Trinity League, Pac-5 Division
Rankings: 4 state, 13 national

The Monarchs lost to Centennial in the Pac-5 semifinals.

5. (5) Bishop Amat (La Puente), 10-3 *Season over
Classification: Southern Section, Mission League, Pac-5 Division
Rankings: 6 state, 24 national

The Lancers lost to St. John Bosco in the Pac-5 semifinals.

6. (6) Long Beach Poly, 4-6 *Season over
Classification: Southern Section, Moore League, Pac-5 Division
Rankings: 24 state, 255 national

The Jackrabbits missed the playoffs due to three forfeit losses.



7. (7) Narbonne (Harbor City), 12-2
Classification: Los Angeles City Section, Marine League, Division I
Rankings: 36 state, 325 national

The Gauchos beat Crenshaw 57-21 to take the Los Angeles City Section title and will continue on in the playoffs. They had a 36-7 lead at the half and Cedric Byrd caught six passes for 114 yards and a score in the win. They go to Ridgeview (Bakersfield) in the I-A regional.

8. (8) Oaks Christian (Westlake Village), 11-1 *Season over
Classification: Southern Section, Marmonte League, Pac-5 Division
Rankings: 18 state, 148 national

The Lions lost to Bishop Amat in the Pac-5 quarterfinals.

9. (9) Serra (Gardena), 9-3 *Season over
Classification: Southern Section, Mission League, Pac-5 Division
Rankings: 10 state, 79 national

The Cavaliers lost to Mater Dei in the Pac-5 quarterfinals.



10. (11) Helix (La Mesa), 11-1
Classification: San Diego Section, Grossmont Hills League, Open Division
Rankings: 7 state, 32 national

The Highlanders beat St. Augustine in the SDS Open Division final, 44-30, breaking a halftime tie. Nathen Stinson had 17 carries for 246 yards and four touchdowns. They will battle Mission Viejo in the I-AA regional bowl.

11. (10) Vista Murrieta (Murrieta), 12-2 *Season over
Classification: Southern Section, Southwestern League, West Valley Division
Rankings: 12 state, 104 national

The Broncos lost 21-14 to Mission Viejo, with Cole Dubots earning 82 yards on 13 carries.

12. (12) Camarillo, 14-0
Classification: Southern Section, Camino League, Northern Division
Rankings: 9 state, 50 national

The Scorpions won 55-27 over Thousand Oaks in a rematch, shutting out Thousand Oaks in the second half while scoring three times. Isaiah Otis rushed for 216 yards on 25 carries. They will take on La Habra in the II-AA regional bowl.



13. (13) Norco, 8-3 *Season over
Classification: Southern Section, Big VIII League, Pac-5 Division
Rankings: 32 state, 286 national

The Cougars lost to Bishop Amat in the Pac-5 opening round.

14. (14) Chaminade (West Hills), 7-4 *Season over
Classification: Southern Section, Mission League, Pac-5 Division
Rankings: 20 state, 183 national

The Eagles lost to Centennial in the Pac-5 opening round.

15. (15) JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano), 7-3 *Season over
Classification: Southern Section, Trinity League, Pac-5 Division
Rankings: 17 state, 144 national

The Lions did not make the playoffs.



16. (16) Orange Lutheran, 6-6 *Season over
Classification: Southern Section, Trinity League, Pac-5 Division
Rankings: 11 state, 98 national

The Lancers lost to Centennial in the Pac-5 quarterfinals.

17. (17) La Habra, 13-1
Classification: Southern Section, Freeway League, Southwest Division
Rankings: 16 state, 130 national

The Highlanders pulled off their second miraculous finish of the season, getting a Hail Mary of sorts from Eric Barriere to Prince Ross from 27 yards out with five seconds left. They won 39-36, and now will head to Camarillo for the II-AA regional.

18. (18) Loyola (Los Angeles), 9-3 *Season over
Classification: Southern Section, Mission League, Pac-5 Division
Rankings: 15 state, 116 national

The Cubs lost to St. John Bosco in the Pac-5 quarterfinals.



19. (19) St. Augustine (San Diego), 10-3 *Season over
Classification: San Diego Section, Eastern League, Open Division
Rankings: 13 state, 113 national

The Saints lost 44-30 to Helix in the San Diego Section Open Division final. Rodney Thompson ran for 132 yards and three touchdowns and Elijah Preston recorded 155 yards and one score.

20. (20) Chino Hills, 10-3 *Season over
Classification: Southern Section, Baseline League, West Valley Division
Rankings: 42 state, 396 national

The Huskies lost to Mission Viejo in the West Valley Division semifinals.

21. (21) Calabasas, 13-1
Classification: Southern Section, Canyon League, Western Division
Rankings: 25 state, 230 national

The Coyotes dominated Palos Verdes with a 42-3 victory in the Western Division title game. Brian Hightower caught nine passes for 121 yards and a score, while Keyshawn Johnson jr. caught seven passes for 122 yards. They go to Citrus Hill (Perris) Saturday for the Division II-A regional.



22. (22) Rancho Cucamonga, 9-4 *Season over
Classification: Southern Section, Baseline League, West Valley Division
Rankings: 31 state, 281 national

The Cougars lost to Vista Murrieta in the West Valley Division semifinals.

23. (23) Tesoro (Rancho Santa Margarita), 9-3 *Season over
Classification: Southern Section, South Coast League, West Valley Division
Rankings: 33 state, 290 national

The Titans lost to Rancho Cucamonga in the West Valley Division quarterfinals.

24. (NR) Citrus Hill (Perris), 12-2
Classification: Southern Section, Mountain Pass League, Inland Division
Rankings: 43 state, 400 national

The Hawks move into the rankings due to their ninth-straight victory, a 29-10 triumph over Heritage (Romoland). They will host Calabasas on Saturday in the II-A regional game.



25. (25) Mission Hills (San Marcos), 11-1 *Season over
Classification: San Diego Section, Avocado East League, Open Division
Rankings: 44 state, 413 national

The Grizzlies lost to St. Augustine in the San Diego Section Open Division semifinals.
