Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Sabers vs. Oregon Panthers

The Franklin Sabers will face off against the Oregon Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Oregon is hoping to do what Westosha Central couldn't on Saturday: put an end to Franklin's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Franklin came out on top against Westosha Central by a score of 76-67. The win was all the more spectacular given the Sabers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Falcons are ranked 126th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Oregon took on Verona on Saturday. The match between Oregon and Verona didn't end well, with Oregon falling 73-55.

Oregon has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Franklin, they now also have a winning record of 4-3.
