See our interview over the weekend with the retired MLB star pitcherMaxPreps' Zack Poff found David Wells over the weekend at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship Tournament and chatted about a variety of topics.
Why Wells? Because he was the head coach for
Point Loma (San Diego) this past season, and he's got opinions on what high school-aged players should be focusing on.
"I stress upon getting rest, especially pitchers," Wells said.
The man who threw a perfect game for the New York Yankees (and won 239 games in his career) also talked about his high school days at Point Loma and how his first year as a coach went.
