Baseball Recap: Mancelona Takes a Loss

Mancelona made up a huge gap compared to their last game against St. Mary Cathedral, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Ironmen fell just short of the Snowbirds by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. The Ironmen haven't had much luck with the Snowbirds recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Ryan Naumcheff was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.

Mancelona's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for St. Mary Cathedral, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

While Mancelona had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
