Softball Game Preview: Durand-Arkansaw Panthers vs. Colfax Vikings

The Durand-Arkansaw Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Colfax Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Durand-Arkansaw earned a 6-2 win over Elmwood/Plum City. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Colfax entered their tilt with Spring Valley on Monday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Cardinals.

Colfax's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Durand-Arkansaw, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Durand-Arkansaw might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Colfax when the teams last played on Thursday. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
