Recap: Purdue Polytechnic Techies vs. Monrovia Bulldogs
The Purdue Polytechnic Techies lost against the Monrovia Bulldogs back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Purdue Polytechnic was beaten by Monrovia 56-8. Purdue Polytechnic was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.
Solomon Livingston threw for 100 yards on 17 of 30 attempts. Jeri'myah Pierce was his top target, picking up 47 receiving yards and no touchdowns.
Leading Monrovia to victory were Dominic Kindle and Brayton Belcher. Kindle rushed for 174 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while Belcher rushed for 210 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.1 yards per carry. Belcher is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.
Purdue Polytechnic has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Monrovia, the win was the third in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Purdue Polytechnic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Monrovia will head out on the road to face off against Speedway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
