Volleyball Recap: Omaha Nation Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Omaha Nation, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against the Walthill Blujays by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Chiefs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blujays, too.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Omaha Nation was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-11.

Dailene Walker paced Omaha Nation's offense, picking up seven kills. Walker got some help from Taylece McCauley and her seven assists. Lexis Bertucci controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Omaha Nation pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Walthill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Omaha Nation has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Santee on the 18th. Hopefully Walthill paid attention to the Chiefs' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Chiefs at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday.
