Football Recap: Leslie County Takes a Loss

Leslie County's last matchup with Prestonsburg could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Eagles were beaten by the Blackcats 49-14. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Leslie County's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Prestonsburg, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Leslie County will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Betsy Layne at 7:30 p.m. on the 31st. As for Prestonsburg, they will face off against Martin County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blackcats will need to watch out since the Cardinals have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven matchups.
