Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Haxtun walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Otis Bulldogs on Friday, sneaking past 7-6. The Fightin' Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Ryland Wolff was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Haxtun's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Otis, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.

Haxtun didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-12 defeat against Akron on the 2nd. As for Otis, they will face off against Holly at 12:30 p.m. on the 10th. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
