Softball Recap: Walkersville Starts off Right with Win over Severna Park

Walkersville had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Severna Park Falcons on Saturday.

Hailey Putnam was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Brooke Putnam was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Coming up, Walkersville will challenge Perry Hall at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday. As for Severna Park, they will face off against Easton at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday.
