Baseball Recap: West Hills Comes Up Short

West Hills fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Mission Bay on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 3-2. The Wolf Pack were not able to make up for their loss to the Buccaneers from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

West Hills saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roy Ruiz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Ruiz also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

West Hills now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Mission Bay, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Hills will be taking part in a tournament against Mira Mesa at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mission Bay, they will take on Southwest SD at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
