Recap: Curtis Baptist Crusaders vs. Providence Athletic Club Panthers

The Curtis Baptist Crusaders put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 76-65 victory over Providence Athletic Club. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Curtis Baptist found their leader in underclassman Ty Shine, who scored 29 points along with two steals. Shine hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Chas Beasley, who scored 19 points.

Curtis Baptist's win bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Providence Athletic Club, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Curtis Baptist will take on Sandhills at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Sandhills is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Providence Athletic Club, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Greenville H at 7:15 p.m.
