Basketball Recap: Sanford Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Sanford had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-46 victory over the Tatnall Hornets. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Hornets are ranked 29th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sanford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nico McNeill, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points. Khareem Hart was another key player, putting up ten points.

Sanford smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in four consecutive games.

Sanford pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Tatnall, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10.

As of now, neither Sanford nor Tatnall have any future games scheduled.
