Recap: Spencerport Rangers vs. Irondequoit Eagles
The Spencerport Rangers were the 66-38 winner over the Irondequoit Eagles when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Spencerport took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Irondequoit.
Irondequoit was led to victory by Aubrey Smith and Kailey Besio. Smith scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and five assists, while Besio went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 0 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Besio has scored at least a third of Irondequoit's points. Elizabeth Tytler was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Spencerport dropped their record down to 2-4 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Irondequoit, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11.
Spencerport will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gates Chili at 7:15 p.m. on February 6th. As for Irondequoit, they will head out on the road to face off against Brockport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
