Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pittston). They never let the Wyoming Valley West Spartans get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won seven in a row.

Dom Innamorati and Beau Widdick did most of the damage at the plate: Innamorati went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI, while Widdick went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. With that strong performance, Innamorati is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Another player making a difference was Silvio Giardina, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Pittston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wyoming Valley West only posted an OBP of .222.

Pittston pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Wyoming Valley West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
