Basketball Recap: Monahans Takes a Loss

Monahans was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Seminole Indians, falling 76-21. While losing is never fun, the Loboes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1413th, while the Indians are ranked 317th).

Monahans' defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Seminole, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monahans will square off against Andrews at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Monahans is facing Andrews at the right time seeing as Andrews is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Seminole, they will take on Pecos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Seminole will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Pecos will have lost ten straight heading into Friday's contest.
