Baseball Game Preview: Notre Dame (SO) Knights vs. Chaminade Eagles

The Notre Dame (SO) Knights will head out to face off against the Chaminade Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Notre Dame (SO) will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Notre Dame (SO) turned things around against Chaminade on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since April 23, 2024.

Patrick Arranaga looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Dominic Cadiz was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Aaron Luna also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Notre Dame (SO)'s victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-7. As for Chaminade, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
