Basketball Recap: Cristo Rey Takes a Loss

Cristo Rey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 58-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Notre Dame Cristo Rey Panthers. While losing is never fun, Cristo Rey can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while Notre Dame Cristo Rey is ranked 143rd).

Notre Dame Cristo Rey's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was S Garcia, who posted 16 points. Garcia's evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of I Feliciano, who earned 13 points.

Cristo Rey's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Notre Dame Cristo Rey, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

As of now, neither Cristo Rey nor Notre Dame Cristo Rey have any future games scheduled.
