Basketball Game Preview: Biddeford Tigers vs. Marshwood Hawks

The Biddeford Tigers will challenge the Marshwood Hawks on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Biddeford came up short against Thornton Academy and fell 65-54. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Trojans are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Marshwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 48-38 to Kennebunk, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Biddeford dropped their record down to 9-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Marshwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Biddeford didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Marshwood in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 51-46 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Biddeford since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
