Baseball Recap: St. Edmund Takes a Loss

St. Edmund was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Franklin Parish Patriots.

St. Edmund saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lannie Reed, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Wyatt Dubios also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

St. Edmund's record is now 7-11. As for Franklin Parish, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Edmund will host Glenbrook at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Franklin Parish, they will be playing at home against North Webster at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
