Baseball Recap: Redwood Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Redwood waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Branson Bulls by a score of 6-3. The Giants have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulls, too.

Jack Gurley looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sam Gersch, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Harrison, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Redwood hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Branson struck out nine times.

Redwood's record is now 14-8-1. As for Branson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.

Redwood will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulls: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
