Softball Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

Lakeland lost against Avon Park last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Dreadnaughts lost 10-1 to the Red Devils. The Dreadnaughts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Avon Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Lakeland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-4 loss against Frostproof on the 7th. As for Avon Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 7-4 defeat against Mulberry on the 4th.
