Volleyball Recap: Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park Takes a Loss

Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus Ravens. The Hawks were not able to make up for their loss to the Ravens from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus a tough time in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 30-28.

Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park will take on Wolcott College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus, they will venture away from home to square off against Perspectives-IIT/Joslin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
