Soccer Recap: West Brunswick Comes Up Short

West Brunswick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the New Hanover Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against New Hanover this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in April.

West Brunswick's goal came courtesy of Londyn Fogel, who's now up to six this season.

West Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14-2. As for New Hanover, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-13-1.

Coming up, West Brunswick will head out to challenge South Brunswick at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Brunswick will be up against South Brunswick's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.63 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for New Hanover, they will face off against Hoggard at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hoggard will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something New Hanover surely won't give up without a fight.
