Softball Recap: Midlothian Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Midlothian couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Melissa Cardinals on Friday, falling 16-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Midlothian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jocelyn Martinez, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Midlothian's defeat dropped their record down to 24-10-1. As for Melissa, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 34-0.

As of now, neither Midlothian nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
