Horseshoe Bend came tearing into Tuesday's match with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Isabella Mustangs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-0 back in March.

Brynlee Alford made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Marigrace Jones, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).

Horseshoe Bend's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Isabella, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Horseshoe Bend will host Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Isabella, they will face off against Jemison at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
