Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Stone Bridge walked away with it. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 20-19 victory over the Riverbend Bears. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won eight games in a row.

Riverbend's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Camden Simmons, who rushed for 70 yards and one score on only five carries, and James Reyer, who rushed for 25 yards and one touchdown.

Stone Bridge's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Riverbend, their loss dropped their record down to 11-1.

Looking ahead, Stone Bridge will square off against Maury on Saturday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Commodores have now posted at least 31 points in their last ten contests. Riverbend does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
