Volleyball Recap: Woodcrest Christian Takes a Loss

Woodcrest Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Troy Warriors.

While Woodcrest Christian had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21.

Evelyn Pool paced Woodcrest Christian's offense, picking up 12 kills. Pool got some help from Viviana Giovannini and her 13 assists. Delilah Espinoza and Nour Qaqish kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Woodcrest Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Troy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Woodcrest Christian has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Segerstrom on the 6th. As for Troy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against St. Lucy's on the 6th.
