Volleyball Preview: Festus Tigers vs. North County Raiders
Festus has been on the road for three straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will host the North County Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It was a proper cat-fight when Festus challenged South Iron on Saturday. Festus put the hurt on South Iron with a sharp 3-0 win.
Festus was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-13.
Meanwhile, North County had just enough and edged West County out 2-1 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.
North County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-22, 25-15.
Festus has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5-1 record this season. As for North County, their victory bumped their record up to 10-24-1.
